Offering inspected Cabo San Lucas villas, including San Jose, the Resort Corridor and the One&Only Palmilla Resort.
Los Cabos, including the main towns of Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, is a specialty of Exotic Estates. Los Cabos includes the Resort Corridor, which runs between Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, East Cape and areas like La Paz, slightly to the north, along the Sea of Cortez. The area of Los Cabos is in the municipality located at the tip of Baja California, in the Mexican state called Baja California Sur.
Sunny Cabo San Lucas is within easy reach from many major US cities. Seattle, Minneapolis and Atlanta are just a little over four hours away, and there are nonstop flights from New York and Chicago, as well as from Calgary and Vancouver in Canada. The area is well-served and easier, not to mention more affordable, to reach than many other international destinations. Read more about getting to Cabo at our blog called
ARRIVAL IN CABO - THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW.
Exotic Estates has
villas in Cabo San Lucas and San Jose del Cabo, as well as along the Resort Corridor, which runs between them. For more about the San Jose del Cabo and some of the homes there, check out our blog post
The Sun Also Rises – In Cabo.
The governmental headquarters of the municipality are located in San Jose del Cabo, which is also where most visitors arrive, at Los Cabos International Airport. The town of San Jose del Cabo lies about 20 miles east of the more famous Cabo San Lucas. The stretch of coast in between these two towns is known as the Resort Corridor.
The town of San Jose del Cabo has a historic center, with colonial-era homes and buildings, including a mission from 1700. It has avoided uncontrolled growth and tried to keep its historic small-town charm, opting for galleries, restaurants and shops rather than the big malls found in further down the road along the corridor or down in Cabo San Lucas.
San Jose del Cabo is not as large as Cabo San Lucas, but it is growing and becoming more popular as a destination. If you are looking for a more mellow and quiet historic area to enjoy your Cabo holiday, renting an Exotic Estates luxury villa in San Jose del Cabo may be a better option for you than renting in its more touristy and commercial neighbor to the west - Cabo San Lucas.
There are many beautiful neighborhoods around San Jose del Cabo along the coast, including the gated community of Fundadores, which is upscale and very secure. The homes are all unique, luxurious and some are exceptionally opulent, offering oceanfront living with a host of luxurious amenities and design features such as infinity-edge pools, theaters, elevators and seamless indoor-outdoor living.
Cabo Resort Corridor Villas!
The town of San Jose del Cabo is joined with its popular neighbor to the southwest, Cabo San Lucas, via a well-maintained highway. Peppered along this 20 mile stretch are several high-quality resort areas boasting fabulous luxury vacation villas and glorious resort spas.
One of these areas is the Del Mar Development, located just to the south of San Jose del Cabo. Exotic Estates vacation villas in Del Mar are ideal for those who want to be close to towns, but not in them. The homes are all well-appointed and offer modern and high-end conveniences, such as in-home technologies, private pools and Jacuzzis, and outdoor grilling and fire-pits.
The added benefit of these homes, is that, while they offer private vacation-villa living, guests have access to world-class resorts, including the Palmilla Resort, which offers golfing, world-class spas and restaurants. The concept is similar to some of the private villas located in the resort areas on the Big Island of Hawaii, which come with the option of resort privileges and the benefit of gated neighborhoods.
Of course the beaches along this stretch are stunning and often less-crowded than those around the main towns. If you are looking for a quieter, resort-like experience, renting a villa along the Resort Corridor can be a great option.
Cabo San Lucas Villas
The town of Cabo San Lucas really took off as a destination starting in the 1970's and 80's. Then Sammy Hagar come to town, opened a bar and named a Tequila after Cabo, and things really got nuts. But Cabo San Lucas is in an enviable position, right on the tip of the Baja Peninsula, and its draw is understandable. From a few hotels clustered near “The Arches,” the famous stone arch and cliffs that jut out over the Sea at Land's End, Cabo has grown up as a world-class beach destination.
Other Mexican towns have a central piazza, but not Cabo, which has the marina as its center. The area is famed for marlin and game fishing and you can still enjoy some of the freshest seafood here.
Cabo offers incredible resorts and fabulous vacation villas. The landscape is very dramatic, and many
Exotic Estates Cabo villas are built into the rugged hillsides, offering staggering views of the Sea of Cortez and the Pacific.
Besides great beaches, amazing seafood and beautiful vacation homes, Cabo is definitely the social and commercial hub for Los Cabos. Whether you want to party or enjoy a romantic dinner, or have a spa day, you’ll find plenty of options in Cabo San Lucas.
Shopping for Your Cabo Vacation Home
The area is designed to make it easy for villa renters, offering many of the same mega-stores that we know here at home in the US or Canada. There is a Costco, a WalMart and an amazing Mexican mega-store called La Comer, all of which are ideal for stocking up on supplies for your Cabo vacation villa. In addition to the mega-stores, you will see plenty of familiar storefronts like Starbucks and OfficeMax in shopping centers that would be at home in any American city.
Cabo San Lucas Temperatures
